I prefer Opera. It has been a leader in good features.
Its many customizations may overwhelm some users.
It fails on some high-security web sites, e.g. banks.
Experts regard Microsoft's Internet Explorer as an inferior browser.
It may cause problems in web-page appearance and lacks features found in better browsers.
The versions before IE 7 are particularly likely to distort web pages.
You can change the style of a page in some browsers.
Most pages are designed for good looks and their alternative style is more easily seen by
people with visual limitations or smaller browsers.
In Opera and Firefox, follow menu View / Style.
My alternative style is labeled "style1".
Opera offers a dozen alternatives of its own design.
All page designers hope that you have a good (free) browser
-- and a good, large, modern monitor helps too (but is not free).
